We wanted to post this in december but for several reasons it got delayed but it is out now.
First we want to once again give a massive thanks to our artist and to all the people that helped them with their participation in FalastinVision.
And a big thank you our volunteers both helping run the event and making watch parties all our the world.
It truly takes a village. We hope you are all happy becoming a part of the annals of FalastinVision history.
After the end of FalastinVision 2025 we had to take a break. That years edition of FalastinVision was run mainly by very few people.
And running a worldwide singing contest is not an easy task on the best of days. Even harder with platforms policing the global agenda of silence of certain issues or persons mentioned. Or all the attacks on our homepage and joke entries by zionist sympathisers.
It takes a toll and it did so more this year when we were fewer compared to before.
So about a one month after the end of Falastinvision 2025 we few had to go on hiatus for a while. During that month our Youtube channel was taken down and our fight to get it back up was in vain after a lot of hard work. But to challenge an unlawful occupation and giving showcasing voices against genocide is not without risk.
What we really wanted was to go through with the usual contacting artist with voting information, have interviews with the winner and many more things to showcase what we all did together for two years. And then shortly after that later starting up work and finding volunteers for next years show.
We hoped to do more but alas could not. We did not have the volunteers or the funds. Many things contributed to this and many things might have still created an environment for a successful FalastinVision 2026. But it was not to be this time.
At the end of December 2025 we sent all the money we had gotten in donations to our chosen recipient Palestine Music Space https://palestinemusicspace.com/ and hope it did some good to help them create an open voice to the world there.
We are still an irritation to the powers that be we had for instance this month (december 2025) over a quarter of an million attempts to gain access to our webpage.
This even though we were not promoting an active event for 2026 or updating regularly. And we keep getting targeted in several places with attempts to take our homepage down or access our accounts or remove our content. As with Youtube it worked in the end since we do not cancer the truth!.
During this year the focus of FalastinVision is just to keep what we all have made together up and running. And if possible update when we cannot continue everything. All help is appreciated
Right now that simply means help with updating all pages that viewing through youtube is no longer possible anymore and that soon due to lack of funds the Vimeo option might also have to disappear.
